Support for Iranian Students in the Current Crisis

The University, the faculties, and the relevant examination boards are requested to assess the extent to which affected students can be supported to alleviate their respective situations, particularly with regard to exams, registration, and admissions.

In particular, consideration should be given to extending deadlines due to the current internet outages, strikes, and other disruptions to communication channels.

The International Office, the AStA, and the Studierendenwerk Bonn are requested to provide information about existing financial relief options and assistance programs and, if possible, to expand these offerings to support Iranian students whose private funding from their home country has been cut off.

This was unanimously adopted by the 48th Student Parliament of the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn at its first regular meeting on March 12, 2026.
