About AStA
The General Students' Committee (AStA for short) of the University of Bonn is committed to the interests of students at the University of Bonn. The AStA is elected by the student parliament, in which it is supported by a coalition that currently consists of the Left-Greens list, the Poppelsdorf list (LP) and theJuso-HSG. Its task is to represent the interests of students vis-à-vis the university, society and politics. The AStA is represented externally by the Chair. This consists of three people who are active in the above-mentioned university groups.
In addition, employees who do not necessarily belong to one of the coalition groups are also active in the departments. Autonomous departments, which are responsible for the interests and representation of specific student groups, are elected independently by the respective status groups.
In recent years, the AStA has been able to negotiate some positive things for students in Bonn. For example, the nationwide semester ticket was organised, from which all students have benefited since the 2024 summer semester.
In addition to these tasks, the AStA is also a member of supra-regional institutions, associations and alliances. For example, in the action alliance against tuition fees (abs).
Due to the new building on Nassestraße, the AStA is currently in two locations.
The offices with room numbers 1 to 15 are located in the container behind the Campo canteen at Endenicher Allee 19
The other offices with room numbers from 16 are located in the hall of residence at Endenicher Allee 17

The AStA will reside in the temporary container building in the car park behind the Popmensa Campo, End. The house number suffix 19 (container) or 19Cont therefore prevents confusion with the Campo.
If you are in front of the main entrance of the Campo-Mensa in Poppelsdorf, you have to go down the stairs on the right and then turn left to get to the AStA container.
The AStA is currently located in a container next to the Campo-Mensa in Poppelsdorf. If you are standing in front of the main entrance of the Campo-Mensa you have to turn right and go down the stairs and then turn left to get to the container.
