Social counseling
Please note the changed consultation hours of the social counseling!
The social counseling service can help you with most aspects of everyday student life. We support you with questions about jobs during your studies, housing, exemption from broadcasting fees, internships, insurance or questions about scholarships. We are also happy to help you fill out applications.
Furthermore, we see ourselves as representing the interests of students vis-à-vis the university, employers and landlords. You can get more information during our office hours.
Psychosocial counseling (PSB)
Every student can be confronted with minor or major difficulties and problems in the course of their life and studies that are perceived as overwhelming.
Perhaps you feel down, suffer from a lack of motivation, concentration problems, time management difficulties, loss of motivation in your studies, fear of lectures or exams, are very stressed or are constantly worried.
Perhaps you need help with final papers, delayed proof of performance for scholarships or trying to get another attempt at exams.
Or maybe it's conflicts in your relationship or with your family, problematic eating habits, experiences of bullying or other psychological problems and disorders that are bothering you.
The number of possible topics is large. We will be happy to offer you an appointment for an initial consultation and help you accordingly.
Advice for students with children (SMK)
Whether a doctoral or first year student, whether planned or unexpected, whether with a good income or without, whether with a partner or alone - when a child is on the way, a lot changes in life. Around 2000 students with children study in Bonn and try to meet all the different requirements every day.
We are student moms ourselves and can advise you on childcare, give you tips on possible financial support, leave of absence during your studies, problems that may arise during your studies due to pregnancy or childcare and are also open to all other topics relating to pregnancy or childcare alongside your studies. Our counseling is an open consultation, i.e. you can simply drop by without an appointment.
