Finance Department and Accounting

Welcome to the website of the Finance Department and the Accounting. Together we take care of the financial administration and the accounting of the student body of the University of Bonn. In addition to the finances of the AStA, this also includes those of the auxiliary fund, the self-administered sports department, the general and special student council funds and the semester ticket. The accounting is primarily responsible for the execution of payment transactions and accounting, while the finance department fulfils mainly instructional and controlling tasks. These include the preparation and monitoring of compliance with the University of Bonn's student body budget.

For information on reimbursement of the semester ticket, please contact the semester ticket reimbursement office directly, the finance department cannot provide any information on this!

If you have any questions regarding applications for general or special faculty student council funds, please contact the department of faculty student councils directly.

Our financial year runs from 01 July to 30 June.

If you have any questions, please feel free to send them to the e-mail addresses above. You have the choice between

• the finance department (for general questions about the budget or basic principles) and
• accounting (for specific questions, such as ‘has this already been paid’ or ‘has my money arrived yet’)

Every semester, all students have to pay a semester fee. You can find the breakdown here. The AStA and the SP control and manage the part of the fee collected by the student body. The Studierendenwerk controls and administers the part of the fee that the Studierendenwerk collects.
