What questions and problems can we help with?

Every student can be confronted with minor or major difficulties and problems in the course of their life and studies that are perceived as overwhelming.

Perhaps you feel down, suffer from a lack of motivation, concentration problems, time management difficulties, loss of motivation in your studies, lecture or exam anxiety, are very stressed or are constantly worried.

Perhaps you need help with final papers, delayed proof of performance for BAföG or trying to get another attempt at exams.

But maybe it's also conflicts in your relationship or with your family, problematic eating behavior, bullying experiences or other psychological problems and disorders that are bothering you.

The number of possible topics is large. We will be happy to offer you an appointment for an initial consultation and help you accordingly.

Our main areas of work

First and second consultation

You tell us what it is about and we support you in classifying the problems and looking at them again from different angles. Perhaps we can find a solution in these first discussions.

Referral and support

However, if necessary or desired, we will also be happy to advise you on the subject of psychotherapy or help you find other places, such as psychological/medical psychotherapists, psychiatrists, specific counseling centers or self-help groups

It is important to us to ensure that you find the right form of support for you. We will also help you to submit an application to your health insurance company to cover the costs of therapy for therapists who are not covered by health insurance. So that you receive a therapy place as quickly as possible.

Important notes

  • Please contact us by phone or e-mail to arrange further appointments
  • All information will be treated confidentially
  • The advisory service can also be used anonymously
  • Counseling should not be confused with therapy

Consultation languages

Advice is available by e-mail in the following languages:

German, English

If you would like to be advised in one of the above languages other than German or English during our on-site consultation hours, please send us an e-mail in advance.
