The Department of Ecology is an offer of the AStA to deal with the topics of sustainability, consumption and environmental protection.
We address aspects such as conscious nutrition and fair trade, environmentally friendly mobility, recycling, waste avoidance and energy consumption in the following lectures, workshops and campaigns, among others:
by participating in events such as the Sustainability Day
We are also involved in the university's political work by being represented on its sustainability committees. To this end, we have set goals and plans for the 2025 legislative period in order to achieve climate neutrality by 2030 at the latest.
We are always open to ideas, questions, suggestions and opinions. How do you envision a sustainable university? How can we contribute to making the university more ecological?
We currently meet every two weeks in our office in the AStA container or at Zoom. Please contact us by e-mail or Instagram so that we can inform you about the next date and location. We are happy to welcome anyone who is committed to sustainability, whether at a one-off plenary session or as a new employee.
If you are active in another initiative that is committed to similar topics, you are welcome to ask us about cooperation or exchange.
If you are interested in events organised by us or other sustainability initiatives around the university, you can join the information channel of the Green office.
