Department of Ecology

The Department of Ecology is an offer of the AStA to deal with the topics of sustainability, consumption and environmental protection.

We address aspects such as conscious nutrition and fair trade, environmentally friendly mobility, recycling, waste avoidance and energy consumption in the following lectures, workshops and campaigns, among others:

• at second-hand bike markets in cooperation with the ADFC

• at vegetarian and vegan cooking evenings

• with lecture events

• by participating in events such as the Sustainability Day

We are also involved in political work at the university by being represented on the university's sustainability committees. To this end, we have set plans for the 2023 - 2024 legislative period in order to achieve climate neutrality by 2030 at the latest.

We are always open to ideas, questions, suggestions and opinions. How do you envision a sustainable university?

We currently meet every two weeks in our office in the AStA container or at Zoom.
