We may be able to help you with minor software problems, e.g. setting up the university VPN, during our consultation hours. Otherwise, our computer advice service F1 can help you!

What do we do?

Both students and AStA staff depend on a reliably functioning IT infrastructure. We try to achieve this goal through our work in the IT department. We are the contact persons in the AStA when it comes to new computers, software installations, the homepage and the like. We act as a link between the departments, the chair and the admins. On the one hand, we try to implement the wishes of the employees and, on the other hand, we also incorporate our knowledge, both in technical matters and in the areas of data protection and transparency.

We represent the interests of students in various university committees:

  • HISinOne steering committee
    HISinOne will replace Basis and ECampus in the future.
  • DiCe
    General connections to IT-people. Here the Uni-App is planned.

In order to be able to act in your interests, we need your cooperation.

  • There are never any free computers in the computer room?
  • Has Basis ever forgotten your registration for a seminar or displayed incorrect exam results?
  • Do you often sit in a WLAN dead zone?
