Mobility (Student Ticket)

The Mobility Representative negotiates the semester ticket with the transport companies every year. The contract volume amounts to a double-digit million sum. Additionally, he is available to answer any questions you may have regarding the student ticket and mobility issues. The only exception is the reimbursement of the mobility fee, for which there is a separate contact point.

We have signed the contract for the nationwide semester ticket. This is the biggest innovation in terms of the semester ticket since the 90s!

• The nationwide semester ticket is valid from April 1st 2024 and costs €29.40 per month; i.e. €176.40 per semester. This makes it €25.63 cheaper than the previous NRW ticket.

• Due to the late introduction of the nationwide semester ticket by federal politicians, it was no longer possible to adjust the contribution regulations for the summer semester of 2024. We will therefore work with credits/repayments for the winter semester 2024/25. As soon as more detailed information is available, we will let you know.

• The semester ticket will be available as a QR code in the “Uni Bonn App”. We are currently working on creating these QR codes. We can't say exactly when these will be available at the moment; However, the QR codes will be available on April 1st. By the way: You can also find your student ID in the “Uni Bonn App”.

• I don't have a smartphone. How do I get my ticket? In these cases, please contact the AStA (mobi@asta.uni-bonn.de). We will then find a solution together.

• Can I still take my bike or another person with me? Unfortunately, with the introduction of the nationwide semester ticket, the travel regulations no longer apply.
