"Living for help" supports

The project promotes the intergenerational coexistence of people in their individual areas of life. The project brings together students who are looking for accommodation but are unable to pay rent with people who have spare living space and would like support in their daily lives. These can be senior citizens, families, people with disabilities or single parents.

We help

We establish contact between tenants and landlords and support both sides in getting to know each other and concluding the tenancy agreement, and we also provide support for the housing partnership.

Rules

Students are required to offer their landlord 1 hour of support per month for every m² of living space rented to them. This help can be, for example, with housework, gardening, childcare, shopping or even providing company. However, care services are excluded. Students are responsible for incidental costs such as heating, electricity and water.

Housing seekers

Are you a registered student at the University of Bonn or interested in studying, socially committed and open to other generations and their everyday lives? Then "Wohnen für Hilfe" can help you find a shared flat. We will find the right living space and landlord to suit you!

Housing providers

If you have living space that is not being used and you can imagine living with younger people who offer you their support in everyday life, then "Wohnen für Hilfe" is exactly the right contact person to help you find a housing partnership. We will be happy to visit you in your home to discuss your wishes regarding a suitable living partnership. You can get in touch with us using the contact details provided and we will help you further!
